Where the prices come from

Our data comes from providers in the airline sector, which record the prices seen by travellers during their searches. We compare each price collected with the median of the last 90 days on the same route and the same departure month. When the gap is large, an alert is examined.

What a Tarmako price means, and what it does not

A price we announce has been observed: a traveller obtained it by running this search, less than six hours before we sent it. Each alert states the day and time of this check. It is not a live price: we cannot query the airlines on your behalf at the moment you open the email.

It is therefore neither held nor guaranteed. Air fares change by the hour, and the price may vary depending on the agency or airline offering it: you will sometimes find a little more, sometimes a little less. According to our own measurements, a price found again less than six hours later stayed the same, within 5%, in about three cases out of four. We promise no amount by which you will pay less, and we sell no tickets.

How we earn money

In two ways, and only these two: Premium subscriptions, and affiliate commissions when a booking is made after following one of our links. The price you pay is the same, with or without our link.

This does not change the selection: an alert is sent because the price is low, never because it earns more.

What we do not do

The examples shown on the site

The alerts shown on the home page are real alerts sent to our subscribers; the selection updates itself. They illustrate the kind of alerts we send; they are not necessarily still available.
